While it is unclear what prompted Ye to write about Morrison, the former took a dig at the latter and made claims about his arrest.
West posted a clip (@kanyewest) of Mark Morrison's song, Return Of The Mack, and wrote,
"Retuuuurn of the slap"
He added laughing emojis and claimed,
"And I’m assuming a kick also if you see the end of the clip Mark Morrison was arrested for domestic violence That’s why I said return … ugh You get it."
Kanye's claims about Morrison haven't been confirmed. According to court records obtained by the Palm Beach Daily News, Morrison had only been charged with simple battery.
Mark Morrison was arrested in March 2025 for shoving another person at Le Bar à Vin in Palm Beach. According to the restaurant manager, the altercation had allegedly stemmed from a previous incident involving Morrison and the other person. While Mark was released on bond, his arraignment is scheduled for April 15.
Kanye West's post comes weeks after Morrison was arrested. However, his allegations don't appear to be supported by evidence.
