Zhang Wei, popularly known as Wowkie Zhang or Wowkie Da, is a Chinese singer, musician, and songwriter. He is well known for being the primary songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist for the rock band The Flowers.
The 41-year-old musical artist was born in Beijing, China, and had his first brush with music at the age of 10 when he competed in and won first place in the Chongwen District singing competition. He and his friends formed the rock group The Flowers in 1998 and released their first album in 1999, which quickly became a commercial success. The band stayed together for 11 years and disbanded in 2009.
The group is often referred to as China's first famous adolescent band. Zhang went solo that same year and has since released five albums and over thirteen singles, with one of his popular songs being Sunshines, Rainbow, White Pony, which has 31 million views on YouTube.
Recently, he confirmed that he would be collaborating with popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed.

IShowSpeed recent IRL streaming tour in China has been on the news, with clips from the stream circulating all over social media. The streamer has been touring major cities in the country and collaborating with Chinese celebrities and major brands. He also collaborated with Super idol singer Tian Yiming. They made a video together, which has garnered over ten million likes on Speed's Instagram account. They both also gave a live singing performance to a packed audience.
IShowSpeed has taken Zhang's popular Sunshine, Rainbow, White Pony as his signature song for the tour and used it as a gag multiple times during his broadcasts. Wowkie confirmed in a broadcast that he would be working together with the streamer soon.

“BREAKING: Wowkie Zhang, the creator of the song 'Sunshine, Rainbow, White Pony', has officially announced he’ll be collaborating with Speed soon!”
The clip shared showed the Chinese singer in a live broadcast confirming the collaboration.
“Oh! You guys always ask about IShowSpeed, right? It's time to cooperate; we'll meet!” Wowkie Zhang said in the clip. “It seems we have an arrangement.”
The post garnered numerous reactions as fans expressed their excitement for the collab.

Apart from collaborating with Wowkie Zhang, IShowSpeed will appear with popular Chinese actor Jackie Chan. According to Speed, he is already working on setting up the meeting.
