South Korean yoga instructor Lee Yoo-Joo, born in 1990, passed away on February 18. She was 35 years old. However, the cause of her death has not been revealed as of now.

According to the Facebook page Bird Han,

"Lee Yoo-Joo was the founder and lead yoga instructor at Yogaum. A memorial for her will be held at the Yogaum Center at the Yogaum Center on the 4th floor of the Shinseung Building in Songpa-gu, Wirye. It will be open until Friday for friends, family, and well-wishers to pay their final respects."

Yoga instructor Lee Yoo-Joo shared a cryptic Instagram post before her death

Before Lee Yoo-Joo's death on February 18, the yoga instructor shared two selfies on her Instagram account with the caption, 'Bye.'

While the cause of her death remains unknown, fans have interpreted the caption as a farewell message. However, this remains uncertain as her family has not made any official statement about it.

Yogaum, the yoga institute founded by Lee Yoo-Joo, shared the news of her passing through an Instagram post on February 19. They also stated that there would be no separate funeral and that the memorial would be held at the studio, providing the address details. Her students showed condolences and respect to the late teacher in the comment section.

Yogaum’s statement read:

"We share the sad and sudden news. Lee Yoo-Joo passed away yesterday (February 18). In accordance with the wishes of her family, there will be no separate funeral or memorial service. Instead, a space at Yogaum, the studio she ran, will be open until this Friday for those who wish to say their final goodbyes."

It continued with the address details:

"📍 Address: 4th Floor, Shinseung Building, 23 Wiryesung-daero 20-gil, Songpa-gu Please pray for the soul of Lee Yoo-Joo, who was beautiful, pure, and brightened the world with her special talents, so she may rest in peace."

Lee Yoo-Joo’s Instagram featured many photos and videos of her yoga practice, showcasing her dedication to the field. In 2022, she also adopted a dog named Sophie.

She gained recognition after appearing on Infinite Challenge, a popular South Korean variety show hosted by comedian Yoo Jae-suk. Her appearance introduced her to a larger audience and helped her make her name in the yoga community.


Her sudden death shocked many and her students, followers, and the yoga community have shared their grief on social media, reflecting on her teachings and the positive impact she had on their lives.
