Christina Grimmie's journey on The Voice

Christina Grimmie gave a blind audition for The Voice in 2014, where the singer sang Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. The season was judged by Shakira, Usher, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Within 20 seconds of Christina's performance, Levine, Shakira, and Usher pressed their buttons to turn their chairs.
The singer's talent was appreciated by all four judges. However, out of the four, Christina decided to go on Adam Levine's team. On being asked about what inspires her the most at the audition, Christina said,
"My mom. She's had breast cancer three times, and I thought she wouldn't get to see me anything like this, so. I love my mom, and I'm happy I get to do this for her."
The singer won many challenges and secured third place in the reality show. Later, she also released her own songs and EPs that increased her fan base.
In 2016, Grimmie released an EP, Side A, and worked on the movie The Matchbreaker, which soon became a success. However, her sudden demise left her fans and the music industry in shock. Her family decided to release the second part of the EP, Side B, and her last album, All Is Vanity, the following year for her fans.

"The amount of sadness and shock I am filled with is unbearable. This is something I will never recover from. I love you, Christina Grimmie. You will always have a piece of my heart. I feel you with me now. You are watching over me & I will live my life with you beside me, in spirit. Love you so much, Spoop. Ill see you on the other side. 💜"
