The U.S. Postal Service is set to honor Betty White with a new Forever Stamp, which will be released on March 27, 2025. The USPS said in a press release on February 20, 2025, according to NBC News.
"The U.S. Postal Service will commemorate the warmth, wit and charisma of Betty White by honoring the late actress and comedienne with a new stamp bearing her likeness,"
Born on January 17, 1922, White was an American actress and comedian. She was best known for her works in television sitcoms, including The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970) and The Golden Girls (1985), according to her bio in Britannica. She passed away in December 2021 at the age of 99.
She became a prominent figure among her younger generation of fans in her 90s and was admired for her advocacy for animals, according to the USPS website.

The legendary actress was nicknamed "First Lady of Television" and appeared in several television shows, movies, and radio programs throughout her career, which reportedly spanned 75 years.

The Betty White stamp features the actress dressed in a purple polka-dotted outfit against a violet-colored background. Bubbles are added in the background that reflect her bubbly personality, as stated in the news release.
Her name is mentioned in white text underneath her picture along with the words “Forever USA,” printed below her name. The stamp has been designed by Greg Breeding, while the digital illustration has been created by Dale Stephanos based on the photograph taken by Kwaku Alston in 2010, as per the description on the USPS website.
The stamps will be sold in sheets of 20 and as Forever stamps. They will be equivalent in value to the price of 1-ounce First-Class Mail, which is currently priced at $0.73, according to a report in ABC News.
