Ayo Edebiri called out controversial X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk on her Instagram stories on March 11, 2024. The actress shared a screenshot of a post allegedly made by Musk in 2024, where he reacted to rumors of Edebiri playing the role of Jack Sparrow in the popular Pirates of the Caribbean series. Musk captioned it:
“Disney sucks.”
Ayo Edebiri is an Emmy-winning actress renowned for her role in The Bear. The 29-year-old revealed that when Musk’s tweet went viral, she received death threats and got hit with racial slurs:
"Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man,”
The actress reshared Musk’s original post and wrote:

According to Variety Magazine, Edebiri began calling out Elon Musk after she commended Bill Burr for roasting him in a recent episode on NPR. Edebiri shared Burr’s statements about Trump on her IG stories and captioned it:
“Bill Burr. Every time!”
The actress also added a bullseye emoji to Burr’s statement. In the NPR Fresh Air episode, Bill Burr implied that the X CEO was a N*zi and made reference to the latter’s hand gestures at the swearing-in ceremony of Trump and his running mate:
“I just refuse to believe it was an accidental two-time S**g H**l. And he does it at a presidential inauguration!”
Burr continued the verbal onslaught against Elon Musk, calling him an “idiot” who designed a bad vehicle and has a large following on an obsolete social media platform:
"Why are we so afraid of this guy who can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag?”
Edebiri also reshared a comment on Instagram which suggested that she would be fantastic in any Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The actress seeing that she was in the news for her comments against Elon Musk, stated:
“Stop making my IG stories news. I’m just trying to have a silly goofy time
