Which athletes and content creators are competing in PogChamps 6? Check out the complete list

PogChamps, the online chess tournament organized by Chess.com, is gearing up for its sixth season. Chess.com also revealed the names of the contestants participating in the 2025 season. The tournament will start on April 29 and run till May 2.

12 athletes and creators will participate in the PogChamps 6, it was announced on March 26. Chess.com shared a summary of the 2025 PogChamps tournament, showing what makes it special. They said:

"The event will feature a $100,000 prize fund, a condensed format, and the highest average of blunders per game anyone has ever seen in an event of this magnitude."

The complete list of participants is as follows:

  • DrLupo - Benjamin Lupo, a YouTuber and Twitch streamer.
  • Eberechi Oluchi Eze - Eberechi Eze, an English professional footballer.
  • Filian - A content creator and VTuber streamer.
  • HungryBox - Juan DeBiedma, an Argentine–American professional Super Smash Bros. player, streamer, tournament organizer, and commentator.
  • Inoxtag - Inès Benazzouz, a French content creator and YouTuber.
  • Linzor - An anime content creator and Twitch streamer.
  • Ludwig - Ludwig Ahgren, an American live streamer, YouTuber, podcaster, comedian, and esports commentator.
  • Macaiyla - A YouTuber and Twitch streamer.
  • Mongraal - Kyle Jackson, a professional Fortnite player (esports athlete), YouTuber and Twitch streamer.
  • Sambucha - A content creator and YouTuber.
  • Stephen John Nedoroscik - An American artistic gymnast, a content creator, and a Twitch streamer.
  • Wolfey Glick - an American competitive Pokémon player, streamer, and YouTuber.

Chess.com added a description for Ludwig on his return to the PogChamps by saying:

"One of the most influential streamers in the world, Ludwig has achieved great success in his career. But despite all his accolades, the PogChamps title eludes him. He now returns as one of the highest-rated players in the field to go for his fourth try at the crown."

For English professional footballer, Eberechi Eze, who plays for Crystal Palace F.C., the company said:

"Eze is no stranger to chess and has even appeared in one of Crystal Palace's videos playing the game against then-teammate and current Bayern Munich star, Michael Olise. Though Eze lost that match, he's another of the highest-rated players competing, and this time, he'll be ready to strike!"

PogChamps 6 will maintain the format of past PogChamps tournaments. However, the complete event will run on a four-day schedule, compared to previous tournaments, which used to run for more than two weeks. Players can also get training from famous chess coaches.


The winner's prize for PogChamps 6 is $100,000. The four-day tournament will start on April 29 and will be streamed on Chess.com/TV.
