Chris Knierim and Alexa Knierim partnered up as pair skaters in April 2012. Their professional partnership soon developed into a personal relationship, and the two got engaged in 2014.
They tied the knot two years later on June 26, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Their wedding was performed by their coach, Dalilah Sappenfield, and witnessed by fellow skaters and close friends.
Their ice partnership was famous for its strong synchronization and faith in each other. Being on the ice together as a married couple united them, as they experienced the stresses and victories of the sport together. The couple found great success in figure skating competitions
Chris and Alexa are a renowned figure skating pair, with different accomplishments throughout their career. Among the most remarkable experiences for them was competing at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, where they helped Team USA claim a bronze medal for the team event.
They were the first married American couple to represent the United States in the Olympics since 1998.
