American comedian and actor Eddie Griffin is best known for his 2002 sitcom Malcolm and Eddie. Griffin is recognized for his unapologetic opinions and started a segment, called NNN on his YouTube channel. Per the description, the segment covers the "most pressing issues of our time, blending humor, raw truth, and unparalleled perspective."

In his latest video, Eddie talks about Trump referring to "news media" engaging in "illegal behavior", "Obama endorsing Dodge", and an appeal to Trump to get R. Kelly out of prison. The R&B singer was convicted by a federal jury in Brooklyn to 30 years in prison, in 2022. After playing a clip of R. Kelly's song, Eddie notes that he needs to be "let out",

"We need hit music, Goddam*it."

He goes on to say "that somebody needs to put a studio in his jail cell" and calls out "Trump" to pardon the rapper. He ends the video claiming that "he has learnt his lesson."

Eddie Griffin requests Donald Trump to pardon R. Kelly

R. Kelly was reportedly sentenced to prison on the grounds of s*xual exploitation, trafficking, and racketeering. Per New York judge, Ann Donnelly, the case was about "violence, cruelty and control." The singer will serve his sentence in a federal prison in North Carolina.

Not to be confused with a news channel, Eddie Griffin's segment, NNN offers "unfiltered opinions on everything from celebrity escapades to societal debates." The Art Of Dialogue took to its X to share the clip from the video where Eddie appeals. In the video, Eddie Griffin plays a song while the screen shows the text, "R. Kelly Remixed Chris Brown's Residuals." Per Hip Hop DX, Kelly had dropped the remix over a prison phone call.

He says,

"Somebody put a studio in his jail cell at least, come on Trump."

He continues to reiterate the lyrics of Kelly's remix and adds,

"He is the R in R&B."

Eddie Griffin screams, "Free RK! Free RK" before proceeding to commentary on other news. He also mentions that the court can keep "Diddy" in prison, but let "R. Kelly" out. At the end of the video, Eddie Griffin reiterates that Kelly was able to produce music "over a phone call" in "two minutes." He also called out music executives and noted,

"Who is getting the money? Record label executives ain't writing that godd*mn song."

In his latest episode of NNN, Eddie Griffin asked Trump to "release" R. Kelly since they need "good music". Griffin asked Trump to put a "studio" in his cell if not released. While Eddie is recognized for his comedy skills and unfiltered opinions, many disagree with his statements.
