“UZI is okay”: Kanye West confirms Lil Uzi Vert's condition after his hospitalization in NYC

Kanye West has assured worried fans and the media that Lil Uzi Vert is okay following a health scare on April 21, 2025. The rapper was taken to a hospital after a distress call was made from the hotel where they were lodged in Lower Manhattan.

According to TMZ, eyewitnesses reported seeing the popular rapper being wheeled from the hotel around 2:30 PM. News of Lil Uzi Vert’s hospitalization gripped fans and Netizens with fear, and the lack of an official report culminated in varying accounts of what happened to him.

Kanye West took to X on April 23, 2025, to clear the air on his colleague’s health. The rapper shared a screenshot of a private conversation between himself and producer Digital Nas. In the conversation, Digital Nas also shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with an insider who stated:

"Ike is going get a update for me when he's awake, they saying he was just dehydrated but ik there's more to it." In another message, they added that Uzi's cousin said the rapper is "okay."

According to a report by TMZ Hip-Hop published on April 22, 2025, Lil Uzi Vert was loaded into an ambulance on a gurney after paramedics responded to an EMS call for a sick person. In footage the news outlet shares, multiple black umbrellas are open to shield the rapper from the public eye.

TMZ also reported that Lil Uzi's girlfriend, JT, was at the scene. Reports also state that Lil Uzi was conscious when they were taken to the hospital. The rapper was reportedly treated in the emergency ward and stayed overnight.

Rumors have it that as of April 22, 2025, the Just Wanna Rock hitmaker was still at the hospital. Prior to the health scare, Lil Uzi Vert had been active on social media, posting multiple clips of their studio sessions.

Page Six also reported that their girlfriend, JT, shared a video on her Instagram Stories from a rooftop lounge hours before her boyfriend was rushed to the hospital.

However, it is unclear if they were together at the time. Neither Lil Uzi Vert nor JT has responded to questions from the media and fans about what possibly led to the incident.
