The incident took place on February 26, when the artist shared a story on Instagram, showing his frustration towards the shop owner. He wrote a message on top of the screenshot taken from the video, calling out the shop for using the video for clout and likes.
However, the actual details of the place or the date of the visit are not mentioned by the rapper for privacy reasons. The singer is currently on the Chromakopia World Tour after launching his album Chromakopia in 2024.
Tyler, The Creator describes the shop owner's act as "weird"
The story uploaded by the singer and rapper on his Instagram account on February 26 says:
"went to a shop with the bro and these ni**a posted some random hidden camera footage for some weird a** reason. likes, clout, proof we were there?"
He further showed his frustration by adding:
"AND I WILL KEEP "COMPLAINING" ABOUT THIS SH** CAUSE IM NOT ONE OF THEM PASSIVE NI**A I WILL TELL YOU WHEN I DONT LIKE IT, BE COOL MAN."
The shop owner has not yet responded to Tyler, The Creator's criticism. However, this is not the first time that the singer is calling out people for being disrespectful. The rapper recently uploaded a tweet on February 25 that says:
"yo when you see me dont be asking questions like " whY are you here in a major city..... are you renting a house here...where you going" like ni**a I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND, are you a cop? weird a** questions... say hi blah blah and keep it moving so i can finish my walk lol"
Fans believe the tweet refers to someone who recently tried to talk to the singer in person.
Details of the Chromakopia World Tour by Tyler, The Creator
The singer is currently on tour in the USA and Canada, with his latest show in Vancouver on February 28. He will be touring in Canada and the USA until July 28. In between, he will also be touring in the UK and Europe from April 25 to May 31, covering 24 shows.
Tyler, The Creator will start his Chromakopia World Tour in New Zealand and Australia on August 18. It will run till September 5, covering 12 shows before starting his Asia tour on September 9.
Tickets for Tyler, The Creator's shows in Seoul, Bangkok, and Manila will go on sale on March 5 at noon local time. Tickets for the Tokyo show will be available starting March 20 at 6 PM JST on the Chromakopia Tour's website.
Tyler, The Creator is also performing at the Osheaga Festival Day 2 (August 2). The other headliners for the day include Gracie Abrams, The Chainsmokers, and Shaboozey.
