Netflix released a four-episode series named Adolescence on March 13, 2025. Written by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, the series revolves around a 13-year-old boy who was accused of killing his female classmate by stabbing her with a knife.
As the story unfolds, it also talks about Andrew Tate in one of the lines, which says:
"It's the involuntary celibate stuff. It's the Andrew Tate sh*te"
On March 23, Andrew Tate called out the UK government on X for taking his name in the British crime drama series by writing:
"The UK gov is trying to set me up. They’re scumbags. They blame me for knife crime the one thing I preach AGAINST. They let in migrants who kill and blame MY podcasts? It’s nothing to do with me?"
Philip Barantini, director of the Adolescence series, talks about the increase in knife crime in the UK

In an interview with The Wrap, Philip Barantini, the director of Adolescence and famous for appearing in the series Chernobyl, explained the inspiration behind the show by saying:
"In the U.K., there’s a real problem with knife crime, certainly in the younger generation. There have been a series of young boys who were killing young girls with knives, and it was really upsetting. That was the seed that we wanted to explore, and send a bit of a message and maybe spark a bit of a conversation."
The drama series got over 8.4 ratings on IMDb and is now available to watch on Netflix.
Andrew Tate says the UK's knife crime crisis is due to lost morals

Before uploading the tweet mentioning the UK government, Tate also shared a video on his Twitter account where he was seen saying:
"Knife crime is out of control in the UK. The police cannot replace the fabric of the society, which is morality. We no longer have any morality in the UK because morality is based on the idea of family. And in the UK, there are so many people marching down the street, arguing about what a woman is. If you don't know what a woman and a man are, how the f*ck can you have a family?"
He added:
"When are we gonna have a serious conversation about actually fixing the issues? When is someone gonna sit down and take a pragmatic adult approach, not waffle, not words, not prayers and thoughts, not locking up the people who talk about it; actually say, on my watch, there will be no more knife crimes."
Andrew Tate is an American and British citizen and a former kickboxer. Tate is also being investigated in Florida and Romania as of now by the authorities for money laundering and trafficking charges.
