Popular streamers Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru faced a harrowing experience during their Sis-a-thon Twitch marathon on March 2, 2025.
According to Emiru’s post on X, she shared the details a day later, explaining how she and her streaming partners, Valkyrae and Cinna, were approached by a man who threatened to kill them when she refused to share her number with him.
Speaking about the incident, Valkyrae took to her official X account and wrote that the situation “shows the harsh reality women live in. This happens off-camera to women all the time.”
The trio were reportedly live streaming when the shocking scene took place. A report in Distractify stated that the women immediately called for security and were rescued. Although they are safe now, they have ultimately decided to end the marathon.
The incident has raised concerns about women's safety. Many of their fans are worried for them and have emphasized the need for better security measures, especially for female creators.
“let entertainers be, that's goign way to far.” A user wrote.

How fans reacted to Valkyrae and Cinna’s encounter with a scary incident?
The recent threats faced by Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru have shaken their fans, while a few believe that it was a staged act. They reportedly have a huge fan following and are loved for their content.
“it takes a lot of courage to speak up on this immediately after hours of it happening. If they wanna do this again, better hire some guards cause these type of men will not stop even after all this.” A user reacted.
Another fan replied that the incident was pretty intense and wished for the safety of the streamers.
“Ngl Twitcg needs to step in & provide the top female streamers with security… this can’t keep happening.” A user wrote on X.
However, a few users thought it was a staged act.
“I watch a lot of Explore With Us content and I can tell you that her recollection of this event isn’t genuine, too much crying/acting normal all at once isn’t natural. It’s sad that this happened to them but she didn’t need to make it a drama class.” Someone else commented.
“I thought it was staged.” A user added.
“Staged to try to compete w kai” One more replied.
“It's a 5 foot asian dude that looks like McLovin.....it's not that traumatising. Amouranth got guns pulled on her by 3 dudes and you don't see all this crying and overreacting. I'm convinced these streamers and fans live in gated communities or never go outside.” A fan wrote.
A report in Forbes suggested that Emiru emerged as the second-most-watched Twitch streamer in 2024, and Valkyrae’s return to the streaming platform in 2025 made her one of the most-watched female streamers on Twitch. The report added that the man is yet to be identified by the police.
