After Kendrick Lamar's performance at the Super Bowl LIX, Drake has potential chances to perform at the FIFA Club World Cup. However, since FIFA has no halftime show but a short opening ceremony, Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, might add a new mid-game entertainment segment just like the Super Bowl.

The news came from President Gianni's interview with Fox News and Fox 5 in New York during his FIFA Club World Cup promotion.

In the 7-minute and 32-second interview, Gianni discussed FIFA Club World Cup plans. During the interview, the interviewer said:

"I have a great idea for you for the halftime."

She further revealed the name by saying:

"Drake. Because you were at the Super Bowl. Kendrick Lamar dissed him at the Super Bowl."

In response, the president of FIFA said:

"So we can create a bit of rivalry. It's a good idea."

At the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, Kendrick Lamar performed "Not Like Us," a track widely seen as a diss toward Drake. To add to the moment, he brought Serena Williams, Drake's ex, making the performance even more direct.

Fans react to Drake's possibility of performing at the FIFA Club World Cup

The clip soon went viral, with many media houses and fans posting it on their social media accounts. A hip-hop and rap update account on X, @nfr_podcast, also uploaded the clip, which gained the attention of Drake and Kendrick Lamar's fans.

The tweet's comment section soon filled with fans who gave their opinions on Drake performing at the FIFA Club World Cup and the halftime show idea.

A user, @DukeCannon12345, tweeted,

"Thank Kendrick for helping Drake get to the stage lmao"

Another user, @libangrfc3, wrote,

A user, @joelle91, commented,

Another user, @fairyadanna, added,

A user, @Mira_1280, wrote,

Another user, @scubaryan_, posted,

"no way fifa is getting involved with the beef now 😭"

However, this is not official and just a recommendation the interviewer gave. When asked about the final list of performers, Gianni Infantino didn't reveal the list but did give a hint, saying:

"It will be global. Different languages. Different countries."

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be held in New York from June 14 to July 13, 2025.
