Connor Colquhoun, popularly known as CDawgVA, reacted to Ludwig Ahgren's Japan video, in which the latter was seen visiting and camping on an abandoned land. Ludwig has been traveling in Japan for many days now with fellow content creator Michael Reeves. The YouTuber also uploaded a number of videos on his channel showing his journey.
In one of the videos uploaded by Ludwig on April 3, he showed himself camping on an abandoned land with the other fellow creator. In the video, Ludwig said,
"We have found this abandoned house and were wondering… we're doing a little investigation if it could be the place for a little coastal camping spot. This house is definitely lived in because that blue paint is fresh. This one (showing to the other house) is definitely abandoned; seagulls are living on it right now."
The two ended up camping on the plot with Ludwig showing the area around the house. On April 10, an X user, @Awk20000, uploaded a tweet that showed CDawgVA's reaction to the same. According to the user, the video was soon removed afterward. In the video, Connor was reportedly seen saying,
"Even if it's abandoned, someone still owns the land."
He added,
"Most of us can understand that there's pretty much not that much wrong with this, but obviously you know, because a lot of people are content creators and a big content creator, it's still illegal to do it even in the day, doesn't matter how harmless it is."
According to CDawgVA, the trespassing was illegal, and filming and posting it online made it seem more noticeable. The creator also got support from fans who acknowledged that Ludwig might not have done it knowing that it was illegal, but could have been more cautious.
CDawgVA talks about the consequences of trespassing
Connor is a YouTuber who lives in Japan. While he didn't say any harsh words or directly target Ludwig, the YouTuber wanted to discourage more content creators from doing the same, i.e., trespassing or staying in an abandoned land, assuming it's public property.
He elaborated on the consequences of trespassing by adding,
"It's not worth the risk, cause like all it takes is maybe the guy just comes to check on his plot, sees someone camping, calls the police, and then you'll get a really fu*king awkward situation in your hands. And luckily the police are really chill here, so probably nothing will happen. But they can hold you for 28 days without charging you. It is not like the US. And they don't fuck around."
As of now, neither Ludwig nor Michael has responded to CDawgVA’s comments. As per CDawgVA's statement, it seems like he didn’t intend to call anyone out but simply wanted to raise awareness and discourage similar actions in the future.
