Shannon Sharpe, the sports commentator, has been under scrutiny since a woman whose identity has been maintained as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit against Shannon. Amidst the ongoing case, something new emerged.

Recently, the woman's attorney released a purported audio. Reportedly, the audio is a conversation between the woman and Shannon. During the purported conversation, Shannon threatens the woman with choking her.

In the alleged audio obtained by People Magazine, he says:

''I'm gonna f------ choke the s--- out of you when I see you.''

The civil lawsuit was filed against the former NFL star in Clark County, Nevada.

Shannon Sharpe allegedly threatens to 'choke' the woman

The woman who filed the lawsuit against Shannon accused him of se*xual assault, and rape on two different occasions during their two year relationship. Shannon's attorney, Lanny Davis, had then denied all the allegations.

In the recent turn of events, the attorney representing the woman released the purported audio, which is a conversation between the woman and Shannon. It starts with the woman saying:

“Anything I say you’re just going to get mad at and you’re just going to hang up on me, so I feel like.''

She reportedly said this before Shanon replied:

''I’m not going to hang up on you, it is what it is.”

The woman then asks him what he means, to which he replies:

''Nothing yet. …You want to be a d–k to me now, so.”

In the audio, the woman then asks Shanon not to manipulate her, to which he replies by saying:

“If you say that word one more time, I'm gonna f------ choke the s--- out of you when I see you.''

She then replies, saying that she doesn't want to be ch*ked, to which he says that yes, you want to, and then says that:

''I don't think you have a choice in the matter.''

After the audio was released, the news circulated on the internet in seconds. Since Shannon is active on his social media, he made a video for his fans and followers, addressing the issue. In the video, he said:

''To my family, friends, supporters, and colleagues: I want to speak to you directly and from the heart. This is a shakedown. I’m gonna be open, transparent, and defend myself because this isn’t right.''

Shannon then alleged that Tony Buzbee, the lawyer of the woman who filed the lawsuit, is planning things on purpose, referring to the released audio. He then said that Tony targets black men and also points out how he had gone after Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z, the rapper.

He then mentioned that he thinks Tony will also release a 30-second video, which is a piece of a s*x tape to make him look guilty and play into the negative stereotypes about Black men. He also claimed that the video originally was 10 minutes, but Tony would only release the 30 seconds of it to make Shannon look worse.

The case is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released soon.
