Police authorities have identified two suspects who were allegedly involved in the shooting of the North Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter, R'mani Sibley.

The Forest Hill Police Department has identified them as Adonis Robinson (24) and Jakobe Russell (21), according to a report in Fox29. The police have issued capital murder warrants for them, who are reportedly on the run.

According to a report in NBCDFW, during a press conference that was held on March 5, 2025, Police Chief David Hernandez said:

"Now we have identified the two cowards that took the lives of these innocent people. They're scared, they're cowards, they're hiding." He appealed to the public to call 911 if they are aware of their whereabouts.

The rapper and her daughter were killed in a shooting at Slappy's Car Wash in Forest Hill, Texas, on March 4, 2025, as reported by NBC News. She celebrated her 5th birthday a day before. Here is what we know of the case.

How were G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter R'mani Sibley killed?

According to a report in the Independent, Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter R'mani Sibley were killed in a “target shooting” in a Dallas car wash on March 4, 2025.

The attack took place when the two gunmen opened fire at their vehicle, which was in a stationary position, parked at Slappy’s car wash. They fired a round of bullets at Ronnie Smith (30), who is known by his stage name, G$ Lil Ronnie, and her daughter, R’Mani (5).

"We are shocked, appalled and deeply troubled by the senseless and violent events that occurred today," Slappy's said in a statement, according to Independent.

The report in the Independent stated that the gunmen approached the father and daughter in a white Kia. A witness at the scene who called 911 told CBS Dallas-Fort Worth that they heard 20 to 30 gunshots. They were reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.

Stella Houston, Smith's aunt, told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth that he was a “family man” who was passionate about rapping. “He was a rapper. He didn’t bother nobody. He didn’t target nobody.” She said.

“He was a family man, and he was going around rapping, okay. Why would you target him? And a baby, his baby.”

One of the suspects was identified earlier, but his identity was not released by the police until the latest update, where the police identified the two suspects as Adonis Robinson and Jakobe Russell.

According to Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez, Robinson has a violent criminal history. He was registered as a sex offender who was convicted of the s*xual assault of a 55-year-old woman, as per NBC 5. He was reportedly sentenced to four years of parole in 2021.

Police have further appealed to the public to refrain from watching or sharing the graphic video of the “target shooting” that has gone viral and come forward with information on the suspects.
