The US Department of Justice recently released documents related to the case of financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. These documents are being released as "Phase 1" of the documents that pertain to the case of Epstein's involvement in a child trafficking ring.
However, the release of the documents is not sitting well with many people, and the latest to voice her opinion about this situation is popular American political commentator Candace Owens. She took to X to share her thoughts, claiming that the Epstein Phase 1 release does not seem "authentic" to her.
"Something about this Epstein release doesn’t feel authentic. Why do we need “phases” of the release and why not just release it to the entire public at large to comb through?," the post read.
The Phase 1 release included Epstein's contact list with over 200 names, including prominent names like Ivana Trump and Ivanka Trump. Other popular names include several supermodels, popular musicians, and Hollywood actors like Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger, Andrew Cuomo, Dustin Hoffman, Ethel Kennedy, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Jackson, and Alec Baldwin.
People are disappointed that the Jeffrey Epstein Phase 1 release does not come with any bombshell revelations
As soon as the Epstein Phase 1 documents were released, people were immediately shocked at the lack of any bombshell revelations in the documents, as it only contained a list of contacts that Epstein had. While this list included several prominent names, it is not enough information for people.
As soon as Candace Owens shared her suspicion regarding the situation on X, her followers flooded in to share their thoughts about the same.
Check out some of the reactions below.
"Gonna get alot of redacted stuff cos I'm sure there are people on there that are currently in government," speculated user @TheOpenChain.
"I think Bondi and Patel want to release everything, but they're getting circumvented by moles inside the FBI. They ask for the files, and they're not getting all the files. Moles are hiding files or slow walking the files to Bondi," was the speculation by another user @RickButler91175.
While the first phase of the release did not satisfy people's curiosity, it remains to be seen whether future phases and releases reveal any significant information about Epstein's circle and network.
