In a statement issued on its official website, the brand revealed its "difficult decision to close" its "doors" after "23 years."

Modere expressed its "honor" in serving its customers and noted:

"We’re incredibly grateful for your support, trust, and loyalty over the years. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or just discovered us recently, thank you for being a part of our story."

The company didn't offer an official explanation for the abrupt closure. According to Jobaaj, a "combination" of factors, including "regulatory and financial pressures," may have contributed. While the reasons for the closure haven't been revealed, users on social media expressed shock and disbelief, especially since the announcement came amid product promotions.

According to Jobaaj, the company had built a "community of 1 million customers" and had plans for the future. According to Behind MLM, even the distributors weren't given prior notice about the sudden closure. Additionally, it claimed that there was a "departure of top distributors" in early 2024.

The company hasn't clarified what will happen to ongoing orders, sparking confusion and frustration among customers. Nate Frazier, Chief Operating Officer and Executive, hasn't released a statement for its customers. The company had recently onboarded Catherine Scott, Chief Financial Officer, in February 2025 "to expand its reach and accelerate growth." While it is unclear if financial pressures were the reason for the closure, in recent times the company has claimed otherwise.

According to X user (@Bigcommerce), the health and wellness brand was reportedly "named a finalist in MACH Impact Awards" in the "Best Health And Wellness Project." The award ceremony is scheduled for April 23, 2025.

While the business world is unpredictable, there was reportedly no indication provided by Modere that it may be experiencing a crisis. It appears that the distributors and employees were also unaware of the situation. This reportedly will affect the livelihoods of many and has caused a wave of shock among the customers. The MLM Wellness Company is yet to make an announcement on refunds and methods to claim returns.
