Uncle Fester, the beloved character from the 1960s sitcom The Addams Family, is making waves on X amid Paris Fashion Week.
Uncle Fester, designed by cartoonist Charles Addams, is iconic for his looks and eccentric behavior. Some of his unique characteristics include taking a shower with the "scalding" setting, feeding his plants blood plasma, or setting an eagle off on his neighbor's homing pigeons. He also possesses the ability to conduct electricity. This beloved character was last seen in Jenna Ortega's Netflix series Wednesday.
In a viral video on X, a male model can be seen sauntering down the runway, sporting a red gown with a slit across the chest. His head is bald, and caked on his face is white foundation. That, coupled with the dark eye makeup, has prompted users to begin calling him Uncle Fester, given the eerie similarities in appearance.
The character has since begun trending on social media, prompting various reactions, memes, and remarks. Some users have begun poking fun at the character, jesting that he has come a long way from his days on The Addams Family, noting that he is now on the runway in Paris.

Here's what one user on X had to say upon catching wind of the debacle:
"When did Uncle Fester become a fashion model?"
Even more chimed in to poke fun or ridicule the situation:
"They're Creepy and They're Cooky... In another show of Europe's fall, Paris Fashion Week decided to put the spotlight on Uncle Fester walking around in a dress as an example of high fashion. Was Morticia unavailable?" one more chimed in.
Fans did not hold back as they shared more of their thoughts on Uncle Fester strutting the runway.
"Bizarre. Boring. Comical. If the designer was trying to achieve those goals—then it was achieved. Uncle Fester wore it better. Milton Berle was the best," a third person quipped.
"So it's this what happens when you combine Uncle Fester and Divine all in a rusty blender?" a fourth user probed.
The comments didn't end there:
"Meanwhile… in this episode at the Paris Fashion Week, we find this lovely, almost Satanic-like red, ready-to-wear gown by Matières Fécales, AKA “Fecal Matter.” And I didn’t even know Uncle Fester was a model! Who’s my first bidder? Do I hear $11,000…?" another dissenting voice chimed in.
"Don't insult Uncle Fester like that," one user demanded.
Scores online poked fun at the similarities between the two figures, with some even jokingly demanding that the internet leave Uncle Fester alone.
Paris Fashion Week kicked off on Monday, March 3, and will run through tomorrow, Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
