A source close to Jennifer Lopez is clearing the air about her rumored relationship with Kiss Of The Spider Woman costar Tonatiuh.
The 55 year old actress cum singer, took to Instagram Stories to share an image of herself alongside her co-star. Lopez, who recently finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck, captioned the image with a heart. This prompted fans to speculate that the two might be dating.
However, a source close to Lopez has since refuted these rumors in a statement to Us Weekly, noting that their relationship is completely platonic. “There’s nothing going on here. They’re just friends,” the source told the outlet.
Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, known mononymously as Tonatiuh, is a queer actor from Southern California. He studied at West Covina High, where he graduated in 2011, before joining USC to study theater and film.
The actor has previously been in shows like Jane the Virgin and Danny the Manny, as well as Stargate Origins, Famous in Love, Chicago Med, and Kismet. Currently, he serves as the voice of Miguel in the animated series The Loud House.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce was finalized this February, and since then, the two have remained silent about their dating life. However, the actress maintains that she plans to stay single for a while.
A source told People Magazine just this month:
“She's focused on work and is not dating. She's happy as it is."
The source went on:
"Life goes on and if anyone can move forward and be positive about it, it's Jennifer. She sees everything as a lesson. She was hurt by their sudden separation and Ben's unwillingness to not work on their marriage. She really wanted it to work out.”
As for Affleck, he addressed his breakup with Jennifer Lopez for a cover interview with GQ for its April issue, noting that she is "somebody I have a lot of respect for."
"I have nothing but respect," he said of Jennifer Lopez, adding, "I guess there’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something. But honestly, like I said, the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting."
When further probed about what he meant by "quotidian," he divulged,
"Yeah, there’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, “Hey, what happened?” Well, there is no: “This is what happened.” It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do."

For one thing, you start going, “Okay, clearly this person has got these issues. Clearly they have these issues.” And the reason I don’t want to share that is just sort of embarrassing. It feels vulnerable."
