Terry Dolan, a top U.S. Bank Executive, is said to have been the only person on a single-engine business plane that crashed into a house in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on Saturday. The residents of the house were unharmed as they had escaped safely.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane, which was a SOCATA TBM7 single-engine business plane, crashed into a house while it was traveling to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa, at 12:30 P.M. on March 30.
Although federal officials have not yet formally identified the victim, authorities have verified one death from the collision. However, according to a statement from the U.S. Bank, they think Dolan was on board the plane, which was registered in his name. They released a statement after the crash, which stated,
'We are aware that the plane that crashed in Brooklyn Park on Saturday afternoon was registered to Terry Dolan, our vice chair and chief administration officer. At this time, the medical examiner's office has not been able to confirm whether he was on board, but we believe he was.
adding,
'Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and friends, and anyone who may have been affected by yesterday's tragic incident.
The bank also expressed gratitude to the first responders for their prompt arrival to the incident and expressed satisfaction that no residents had been hurt.
'We are grateful that there were not any injuries to residents of the home that was impacted by the crash, and we thank all the first responders who have provided service.'
According to officials, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is looking into the event and will look at things including weather, pilot experience, and technical problems.
