Rapper and singer Post Malone is involved in a custody battle with his ex-fiancée, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park.
On April 16, 2025, Park submitted a petition at the Los Angeles Superior Court. As per media outlets like Page Six, this was the first time the musician’s former fiancée's identity was revealed.
The former couple is fighting over the custody of their 2-year-old daughter, whose name had been undisclosed but listed as “DDP.” She was born on May 26, 2022.
Court documents mention that Park seeks joint legal custody, besides full physical custody of their daughter, while allowing the singer visitation time. She also requested that Malone pay for her legal expenses.
In June 2022, Post Malone appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where he shared the news of his daughter’s birth. He said he woke up at 2:30 in the afternoon and then:
“Kissed my baby girl.”
Howard Stern confirmed that he was referring to his girlfriend as “baby girl,” but Malone said it was his daughter. Stern said he was surprised how the singer kept it a secret, and he said:
“I want to let her make her own decisions. That’s it.”
In a statement to E! News, the singer said:
“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love we can every day.”
Post Malone is reportedly dating Christy Lee, a student at a design school in NYC. They called off their relationship in 2024.
Post Malone made lullabies for his daughter
In an interview with CR Fashion Book in 2023, the singer opened up about his daughter. It was mentioned that she transformed his life. He looked happy whenever he talked about her, describing her as strong and confident, and said she had started growing out of her baby phase. Post Malone said:
“I definitely was making a lot of soft songs and lullaby songs for my baby. There were a bunch of [times] I was sitting there like, “I’m going to write her a song…” but I stole some of them for the record. I was like, “You know, this chord progression is really really good.””
Post Malone shared that many people seemed to think they deserved to know everything about someone’s life, so he chose not to share any photos of his baby. He wanted her to have the freedom to decide that for herself when she felt ready.
He also said that even though the world felt more connected now, it often came at the cost of experiencing moments with others and understanding what was going on. He said being a dad pushed him to work even harder out of love, wanting to make the world as great as possible for his daughter. Malone felt lucky to be able to do what he loved for a living.
Post Malone joked about how her grandpa gave her a tiny Maybach, and she loved it, which made him nervous. He also found it funny and frustrating that her mom would buy her expensive clothes, like Dior, even though the baby would outgrow them in no time.
