Make-up influencer Mikayla Nogueira is opening up about her husband's, Cody Hawken, struggles with addiction. In a TikTok released on April 4, Nogueira brought her followers up to speed on her husband’s recovery.
Nogueira revealed that her husband has been in rehab and is working through his addiction. As per People Magazine, Nogueira said in her TikTok:
“My husband Cody is in rehab and I’m ready to talk about it…As many of you have noticed for the last several months, Cody really has not been around, and now you know why, a lot of you have put two and two together”
Cody Hawken is currently a Sales Support Representative at Gallagher Sales Associates, as per his LinkedIn page. Hawken and Nogueira met in 2020 on a dating app and married in 2023 after a two-year-long engagement in a Rhode Island ceremony, according to another report by People Magazine. While describing her partner at the time of their nuptials, Nogueira spoke to the news outlet and said:
“I wasn't too sure about him as I was used to dating 'bad boys'. He was quite the opposite, a total angel. I don't regret saying yes to that first date!”

While sharing her husband’s journey with his addiction, Nogueira applauded his courage in her TikTok. As per People Magazine, Nogueira said:
“It takes an immense amount of courage to give up your will and enter treatment…Understand sobriety, recovery is not linear. Addiction is a disease, and it's very complex, and unless you yourself or someone very close to you has struggled with addiction, it's hard to understand relapsing is a part of the recovery process, not a failure”
The couple has been candid about Hawken’s struggles with addiction in the past as well. In 2022, E! News reported that the couple posted a TikTok together where Hawken spoke about his struggles. He said:
“Even before I found drugs I was just a sad person. I didn't feel accepted. I didn't feel like I belonged anywhere. I was never part of a group. So when I did find drugs, that gave me people to be around who I thought were friends at the time and it helped me escape from self.”
At the time, E! News reported that Mikayla Nogueira also shared that the couple would keep working hard at helping Hawken maintain his sobriety.
