Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, has been arrested for allegedly physically assaulting his estranged wife in Texas.
According to the court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Lohan was hit with a felony assault called "continuous violence against the family." Michael was previously married to Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, though the two parted ways in 2007. He shares daughters Lindsay and Aliana, and sons Michael Lohan Jr. and Dakota Lohan with her.
He then got hitched to Kate Major, though as reported by People Magazine, the latter filed for divorce in 2018, and filed for sole custody of their two sons, Landon and Logan, at the same time.
Everything we know about Michael Lohan's alleged abusive behavior with his ex-wife:
The Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) told PEOPLE magazine that Kate Major was at the doctor's on Friday, February 21, when she noticed her former husband, Lohan, in the parking lot. She immediately rang 911 as she “was concerned he was following her."
Major then told officials that Michael had “flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier,” while HSCO told the outlet that a female deputy had noticed bruising on Major's person. Authorities said that they found Michael at his home that day, and he was “arrested without incident.” A rep for the same told Fox News Digital,
"On Friday February 21, 2025, the complainant (Kate Lohan) was at a medical follow up, when the defendant (Michael Lohan) was observed by Ms. Lohan in the parking lot of the building. A 911 call was placed, and deputies responded." It goes on, "She told deputies that Lohan had flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier. The complainant felt pain and discomfort. A female deputy was able to witness the bruising on the complainants body," the statement continued.
Lohan is currently being held on a bond of $30,000, and he is slated to appear in court this Monday. In a statement to the outlet, Major said,
"I’m praying for privacy for the sake of my kids and myself and pray justice is finally served."
Michael Lohan was arrested for similar allegations back in 2020 when he allegedly became "verbally and physically abusive to the other party," i.e. Kate Major. However, he categorically denied these claims in a statement to E! News, noting that he "adamantly denied that ever happened.”
Michael Lohan has yet to comment on the situation at the time of writing.
