Notorious Music leaker King Bob has pleaded guilty to wire fraud, conspiracy, and identity theft in two federal cases related to $800,000 in stolen cryptocurrency.

King Bob, whose real name is Noah Michael Urban, is infamously known for leaking unreleased music from Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Ariana Grande, and more. As part of his plea deal, he is expected to make restitution to all his victims and his sentencing should begin in about 75 days.

While not much information is available about Urban, News 4 Jax has reported that he is a Flagler County teenager. He has also been linked to “Scattered Spider,” which is a cybercrime group, and goes by several aliases, including 'Sosa,' 'Elijah,' and 'Anthony Ramirez'.

Everything we know about the case against King Bob

The outlet has reported that Urban was accused of having stolen $800,000 from five different individuals in a cryptocurrency scheme. He was since charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, nine counts of wire fraud, and four counts of aggravated identity theft, the outlet states. He faces no charges relating to music.

Last year, the FBI released information about Scattered Spider, speculating that it comprises 1,000 juvenile cyber criminals. Reportedly King Bob is a central figure in this ring.

Urban was arrested in January 2024 and subsequently booked by the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. First Coast News has reported that the United States Attorney’s Office in Florida claims that Urban allegedly executed the criminal activity between August 2022 and March 2023, though it could have also been earlier.

Per the outlet, Urban was charged with wire fraud conspiracy because he sought to "obtain personally identifying information" of further victims so as to use it to gain access to their cryptocurrency exchange accounts. The document also names Urban's alleged co-conspirators.

As reported by First Coast News in January 2024, Urban cheated his victims and executed his "scheme and artifice by means of materially false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises." At the time, he faced up to 20 years in prison, if not more, and his arraignment began later that month.

The case saw the combined efforts of the the United States Attorney’s Office District of Oregon, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Justice Department’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section, and the United States Attorney’s Office Middle District of Florida. Furthermore, it was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Cannizzaro.
