Demi Blanco, a.k.a. Demetria Spencer, is the woman police arrested in Atlanta for allegedly calling in a fake 911 that brought police to the scene where rapper Young Scooter was fatally injured.
According to XXL Magazine and TMZ, Demi Blanco, a Baddies reality TV star, confessed on Instagram Live that she made the 911 call. She initially reported seeing a naked woman getting attacked but later said she called to safeguard herself from physical abuse.
As per TMZ and Balleralert, on March 28, 2025, Blanco made a 911 call stating that she had seen gunshots and a bloody woman being beaten at a house on William Nye Drive SE. She presented no evidence to the police for her accusations, but the police came face-to-face with Young Scooter (Kenneth Bailey) and another guy running away from the location. While fleeing, Scooter received a thigh injury that soon claimed his life.
Information about Spencer's 911 call
Blanco's 911 call had multiple allegations, including physical abuse, drug dealing, and a potential child in jeopardy—none of which could be found or confirmed by the police when they arrived. XXL Magazine says that initially, she reported seeing a woman getting beaten on the outside of the house, then altered her story and stated that she had called to receive protection from abuse. She stated,
"I was physically abused. So, I called to protect myself. I never had any intentions to get anybody hurt."
The police concluded that Blanco's conflicting statements were suspicious and questioned the genuineness of the emergency. Without any physical evidence to support her statement, the investigators concluded that the report was unfounded and arrested her.
Charges and arrest of Demi Blanco
TMZ confirmed that Demi Blanco was arrested by police on April 1, 2025, in Atlanta, and charged with disseminating a false public alarm, a criminal violation of Georgia law. Investigators discovered that there were contradictions in her versions and no credible evidence to verify her allegations. There was also a huge difference in the story on her Instagram Live, whereby she alleged being a victim of abuse.
Reports from Balleralert confirm Demi Blanco admitting to having made the 911 call has sparked public outrage over her implication in the lead-up to the death of Young Scooter. As per Fox 5 Atlanta, the audio recording of Blanco's 911 call contained claims of shots being fired, a woman being forced into a house, drug dealing, and a child possibly in harm's way.
Legal implications of false emergency calls
False emergency calls, also known as "swatting," are a growing concern for law enforcement officers as they can lead to unintended harm. Legislators argue that these activities may result in unnecessary injuries, property destruction, and death.
Blanco's incident is focused on the consequences of providing false information to emergency authorities. In Georgia, individuals who are found guilty of transmitting a false public alarm face severe legal consequences. Police still warn people about the danger of forming hoaxes, and it encourages citizens to wisely use 911.
Demi Blanco's arrest highlighted the larger problem of false emergency calls and their impact on public safety. Even though her actions began the chain of events leading to Young Scooter's attempt at escape, his death was ruled out as an accident.
Authorities still stress the importance of proper reporting of emergencies and the consequences that follow filing false reports. As the case develops, future legal proceedings will determine how much responsibility Blanco has in this case.
