Bianca Castro, who is known as a drag artist and actress, has died at 44. The report of her death broke on April 27, 2025, when her family shared the news. Castro, also known as Jiggly Caliente, died after a health struggle. The report has it that she had a bad infection, which in turn caused the amputation of her right leg.

The sad news was announced by her family, who shared a statement. It read:

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arebejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente.”
“Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity."

The statement continued:

"She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world. Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light."
"Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered."

Who was Bianca Castro?

Bianca Castro gained popularity after participating in the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2012. She grew to become a cherished icon in the LGBTQ+ community over time.

When people heard she died, many in the drag and LGBTQ+ community shared their memories. Other performers and fans remembered Castro as a happy, caring person who made lots of people smile.

Hannah Conda, a famous drag queen from Australia, said she felt very sad.

"Oh my god. My heart is broken! Fly high our queen xxx," while Drag Race Philippines star M1ss Jade So said: "I love you so much! I will miss you!" Conda wrote.

Baga Chipz said Castro was one of the nicest, sweetest people.

"One of the most kindest, sweetest souls I’ve ever met. I’]'m gonna miss you beautiful. Thank you for always being so lovely. Rest easy legend. Sending your family so much love right now," Baga Chipz wrote.

M1ss Jade So, from Drag Race Philippines, and Laganja Estranja, who was on RuPaul's Drag Race before, also sent loving messages to remember her.


Bianca Castro's family reflected on her lasting mark in their statement, pointing out her influence through her artistic endeavors and individual advocacy. They stressed how she made room for others within the LGBTQ+ community, and how her sway would persist even after she was gone.
