Jury selection for P Diddy’s case will begin on April 28. Individuals will start filling out forms based on which jurors will be selected. These forms will inquire about their occupations, education, hobbies, and even their favorite TV shows.
Since P Diddy’s case has been all over the news, it is almost impossible to find someone who hasn’t heard about it. However, knowing about the case isn’t a problem. What matters is whether the person can remain fair and impartial.
Both Diddy’s lawyers and the prosecutors will work diligently to find jurors who they think will believe their side of the story. There is also a chance the jury will be anonymous, meaning no one will know their names. This is sometimes done when the case is really famous, to keep the jurors safe.
How will jury selection go for P Diddy's case?
Starting April 28, people who have filled out the forms will get a list of questions to answer. The court will ask them about their background and other details. They will even be asked how they feel about Diddy, rap music, race issues, and things like sex trafficking because those topics might come up during the trial. If someone already has strong feelings about Diddy, like if they already think he is guilty or innocent, they will not be picked.
Each side (prosecutors and Diddy’s team) also gets a few chances to remove people they don’t want, even without giving a reason. Prosecutors can remove 6 people, and Diddy’s defense can remove 10.

Diddy’s team has argued that he is being treated badly because of his race. They also cited the Mann Act, which was used unfairly against Black men a long time ago. Meanwhile, the prosecutors will want jurors who oppose drug use, violence, and paying for s*x.
Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, will also testify in court. For the unversed, Ventura has also made allegations against Diddy. Cassie and Diddy have settled a lawsuit before, without Diddy admitting he did anything wrong. Diddy’s defense also claimed Cassie once threatened to write a "tell-all" book unless he paid her. However, Cassie has denied the allegations.
Why the jury for P Diddy might be anonymous?
Since P Diddy is famous, there’s a probability that the judge will make the jury anonymous. That means nobody, not even reporters, would know the jurors' names. Sometimes, even the lawyers won’t know the jurors' names until after the trial is over! This is to protect the jurors. When a person on trial has a lot of money or fame, there’s a risk that someone might try to scare or influence the jurors. Keeping their names secret keeps them safe.
Anthony Capozzolo, one of Diddy's lawyers, said this may happen for Diddy’s trial. However, nothing is confirmed as of now.
