Boxer and influencer Jake Paul announced his engagement to speed skater Jutta Leerdam. The pair have been dating since 2023. Paul and Leerdam share a home in Puerto Rico but frequently travel together to Europe and the United States.
They connected on Instagram after Jake's breakup with Julia Rose. Around the same time, Leerdam ended her relationship with Dutch speed skater Koen Verweij in August 2022. Paul announced the news of their engagement on Instagram on March 22, 2025, writing:
“We’re engaged. We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
According to Olympics.com, in the documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, Jutta Leerdam shared that Jake Paul first reached out to her on the social media platform for a podcast, to which she agreed.
Leerdam accompanied Paul during important moments in his career, including his victory over former MMA champion Nate Diaz in August 2023 and his win against Mike Tyson. She admired his dedication and ambition, calling him her "champion" on Instagram.
In the documentary, Paul praised Leerdam, describing her as an incredible woman, an Olympic athlete, a six-time world champion, and one of the kindest people he has ever known. On March 16, 2025, Jake Paul shared an appreciation post for Jutta Leerdam writing:
“So proud of my baby 1st, 2nd, and 3rd this weekend at the world championships. She’s a 7 time world champion now. The hardest worker and the most gorgeous. You inspire me babe. Isn’t ironic how the person who is the most important athlete to a sport is the one that they try to tear down the most. Can’t relate because we don’t fly at y’all’s altitude. I hope love runs the universe one day.”
What did Jake Paul say about Jutta Leerdam’s love language?
In June 2023, Jake Paul posted a video on his YouTube channel where the pair took a couple’s quiz challenge. Jutta Leerdam asked him what her love languages were and the boxer replied:
“I would say number one is physical touch and then a tie between quality time and acts of service.”
Jutta Leerdam shared that she sometimes woke up early because she was excited to see the daily videos Jake sent her. These clips make her feel connected to his life, even when they were apart.
Paul explained that since they were in a long-distance relationship at times, he sent multiple videos before going to sleep so she felt involved in everything happening around him. Leerdam added that waking up to those messages made her happy.
During an April 2023 interview on the BS w/ Jake Paul channel, when asked if dating within the skating and Olympic world was mainstream, Jutta Leerdam acknowledged that it happened but wouldn’t recommend it. She explained that being in such a small, tight-knit environment and constantly being around each other could make things toxic.
Jake Paul added that people online often speculated about their relationship, trying to make jokes about it. He pointed out that even something as simple as going out to dinner together became difficult because of the attention.
