The controversy between American online streamer Adin Ross and rapper Kanye West is not new.

During a previous interview with DJ Akademiks, Ross shared that while he admires Kanye's music, he thinks the Donda singer needs to seek professional help. Ross also criticized Kanye's tweets and posts on X.

Kanye West decided to respond to Adin Ross via a video post on X. Ye simply captioned the video as "Adin Ross". Kanye starts by saying,

"Adin, why is it such an issue for me to express myself on my Twitter? And you're telling people that I need to be detained and sh*t like that. Like I don't... I talk exactly like people talk online, except for I'm a celebrity." - Ye said.

He continues,

"Cause I don't have to worry about getting dropped. The final get dropped was Shopify cause I put up the Sw*stik*a and they took... they backed away. But you play stuff with people killing each other, doing drugs, and all these like, destructive behavior, all day. That's why I'm pressing on ya'll so much." - Kanye concludes.

The video was shot in landscape mode with Kanye West's face barely visible at the bottom of the screen. Félix Lengyel a.k.a. xQc, another online streamer and professional Overwatch player, responded to Ye's video with his video shot in the same format. Lengyel says in the clip,

"Hello, Mr. Ye. I think the problem is that what you say is f***ing braindead and you're still actively doing those behaviours. Hope this helps, buddy."

How did netizens react to Kanye's X post addressing Adin Ross?

With over 770.1k views and counting, netizens showed Kanye support in the comment section. Some have expressed that Kanye is right for saying what he said. However, there are also Adin Ross fans who are defending the online streamer on Ye's post.

Have a look at some of the comments below.

A fan account claiming Adin Ross is their goat commented,

"Chill on my goat before I step in. Final warning" - @AdinReports said.

Adin Ross himself commented on Ye's post. He said,

"Because you have children whose lives will forever be impacted by the damage you’re causing. You are a believer in GOD , Why are you taking this route instead of going the love route? God does not want us to divide us further. We should be aiming for unity. Fight evil with good." - @adinross wrote.

Another user wrote a lengthy comment to defend Kanye. The comment reads,

"Say what you wanna say about ye but he’s lowkey right. Adin saying he should be institutionalized for just saying random bullshit? Literally he just saying whatever is on his mind and whether you agree with him or not, why does he have a less of a right to self expression just cuz he famous?" - @DoopisDopis said

They continued,

"Like he said there’s literally people all over twitter (and the internet in general) that say more outlandish shit than he does but yall try to play it off as a joke or say it doesn’t matter cuz they nobodys. If yall care so much about free speech why should it only apply in certain scenarios or when it fits what you wanna hear? If yall wanna stop hearing ye yap on twitter just unfollow and stop paying attention it’s that simple." - @DoopisDopis concluded.

An empathetic fan commented,

"I feel like you just misunderstood bro" - @iamzzane commented.

After Adin Ross' comment on Ye's post addressing the online streamer, Ye has yet to respond. This verbal feud between the two has revealed two sides of the internet: those supporting Ye, saying he has the right to express himself, and those who say that his words have real-world consequences.
