According to the New York Post, she recently raised eyebrows in her rant when she said that Republicans worshipped Donald Trump "instead of Jesus."

Born on December 8, 1968, in New York as Joy-Ann M. Lomenna, Joy Reid's mother was a college professor and a nutritionist, while her father was an engineer from Congo. She also has a sibling named June Carryl, who is an actress and scriptwriter and has appeared in around 60 television shows and movies.
