Streamers Valkyrae and Cinna have updated fans on the status of their streaming marathon after they were accosted by a man on stream.
The two kicked off their Sis-A-Thon streaming marathon at the end of February, where they engaged in broadcasts and IRL streams. However, during the March 2 broadcast, the two were in Santa Monica Pier with Emir when they were accosted by a man who demanded that they give him their contact information. Cinna dismissed him, noting that she doesn't "know how to use a phone."
However, he got down on one knee, proposed to them, and offered to serenade them. The man also followed them around before he began chasing them and threatening them with violence. In the clips, the streamers can be seen fleeing and pleading with the man to leave them alone.

In the hours following the incident, Valkyrae took to X to assure her followers that she, Cinna, and Emir were fine. She did, however, reveal that they would cut the marathon short early as they needed to recuperate. The Sis-a-thon was initially slated to come to an end on March 3.
"We’re all well and have been with the cops," she penned in her update. "The marathon is over; we need time to process! Thank you for all the love and support this past week, we had so much fun and hope you all enjoyed."
Cinna also issued an update of her on in the wake of the incident, as she penned on X:
"Hey everyone we are safe. unfortunately we have end the marathon and need time to process what happened as we shock at the moment. Thank you for all the love and support on the marathon. We love you all."
Following the incident, Janet "xChocoBars," a well-known Twitch streamer, took to social media to voice her concerns about the dangers women face. She claimed that police and security "need to do more for women," who are consistently subjected to stalking. She expressed her discontent with the situation as she felt the cops were not "doing anything" unless something happened, as she said:
"Please please pleaaaaseeee the police and security need to do more for women who get stalked. I’m sick and tired of this law where they can’t do anything until something HAPPENS. NO. THAT CAN BE TOO LATE LIKE JUST TAKE THE THREATS AT FACE VALUE AND PROTECT!!! PLEASE i beg of you"
At the time of writing, Emir has yet to comment on the situation.
