Keith Lee, a popular food critic on TikTok, is going viral for his review of Spud Bros' iconic loaded potato with beans and tuna.

The 28-year-old media personality, infamous for his brutality, gave out his honest opinion about the restaurant's dish, though the reaction of the owners to it has since been drawing backlash online.

In response to Keith Lee's distaste for the dish, the owners of the eatery uploaded a video talking about how they should have added different toppings to Keith's potato dish.

“I’m sorry, the people of Britain love cheese, beans, and tuna. I just thought Keith Lee would like it,” he said. “…I just thought I’d risk it. It’s a British delicacy.”

They concluded with:

“It’s not the right time, but we will change those American minds.”

Everything we know about the drama between Keith Lee and iconic UK eatery Spud Bros:

In his original video, Keith Lee can be heard expressing his dislike for the dish, though he did not upload the whole footage on TikTok. Instead, clips of the review went viral on Snapchat. As for his response to the owners' video, here's what Lee said, as reported by Dexerto:

“I’m fully aware that the behind-the-scenes of this entire review was already posted by somebody on my team by mistake,” he said. “The way it was reacted to made me not want to post the video at all. The only reason I’m posting this is because I was asked for my opinion on multiple occasions.

He went on, categorically denying the narrative that he was being disrespectful:

“I don’t like the narrative that was spun that I was being disrespectful when in reality the owner was sitting right there when I was trying it and he gave me a thumbs up about it. I was asked for my opinion, and I gave my opinion, which is personally – it didn’t work for me," he added.

Keith then revealed his wife and cousin's reaction, both of whom seemed to have enjoyed the dish. In response, one of the owners responded with yet another video, conceding that they tried to make the debacle “a bad situation.”

“We just tried to make it a bad situation, not good,” he said. “We did it with lighthearted banter and a bit of sarcasm as well. Cheese, beans, and tuna are not everybody’s favorite, we absolutely get that. His wife likes it, and his cousin. But there are no absolutely hard feelings there. Respect that Keith Lee came, he’s one of the biggest food reviewers out there. We completely get it now. No hard feelings. Thank you for coming down, [Keith].”

During the same trip, Keith Lee also made headlines for criticizing a full English breakfast. The content creator slammed one of the free meals he got at his hotel, referring to it as "greasy," adding that the baked beans have "no flavor other than sweet ketchup."
