DJ Vlad once again flared up the tensions between him and Peter Rosenberg after taking to X to criticize Rosenberg, with both of them exchanging insults on social media.

DJ Vlad vented his frustrations on X on April 3, directing a series of critiques at Rosenberg's career. He stated:

“For all the up-and-coming Hip-Hop media outlets, look at Peter Rosenberg for what NOT to do,”

He called Rosenberg “broke,” “irrelevant,” and “a hater.” He didn't stop there and went on to attack Rosenberg's YouTube stats, his two-decade stay at Hot 97, and his perceived lack of career growth.

"Same dead-end, low-paying radio job for 20 years. Never got a promotion. In fact, he got demoted when Ebro took the main position on the Hot97 morning show."

He continued saying,

"Spent 18 years uploading to his YouTube channel to only have 50k followers. Most of the videos he drops get less than 1k views. Hated on every new media person who came in the game. Formed no relationships with any of us. Will ultimately retire broke and bitter."

DJ Vlad also said that Rosenberg was resentful of the emergence of new voices and lacked any connections in the hip-hop world.

Peter Rosenberg, who is currently a frequent guest on ESPN's First Take and has ties to the WWE, reacted sarcastically right away:

“Oh snap someone just sent this to me during commercial at First Take… Glad you're exploiting people on YouTube stuff is going well man.”

Later, he addressed the situation more directly, criticizing what he described as DJ Vlad's "culture vulture" tendencies and challenging the idea that success is measured by YouTube statistics. Rosenberg also referenced a past incident in which Vlad allegedly asked for his YouTube login credentials, which Rosenberg described as disrespectful and unnerving.

History of tension between DJ Vlad and Peter Rosenberg

This isn't new but has been going on for some time. According to YouTuber Poetik Flakko, their feud began in 2010 after Rosenberg sent the following tweet:

“DJ Vlad used to be a mixtape DJ… he is now the garbage pail kid version of Worldstar Hip Hop… congrats.”

Vlad has continued to criticize Rosenberg's professional decisions in several interviews, including one with DJ Akademiks, claiming that Rosenberg never established an entrepreneurial brand and missed out on success. He went on to say:

“You're never on anyone's ******* list ever ever on any level and if you lost your job which you're very lucky to have you would probably be homeless. He's a bum. I remember him hitting on Charlamagne ”

He even compared him to someone sitting in the last row of the theatre, throwing popcorn at everyone.

Vlad also framed Rosenberg's reliance on job security as a failure to pursue personal development or financial independence, drawing a comparison between his own success, particularly on YouTube, and Rosenberg's more conventional media trajectory.

In response, Rosenberg stressed his longevity and varied career, and claimed that YouTube views or subscribers don't equal success. Rosenberg seemed mostly unaffected by all the comments.
