The OnlyFans model and content creator, Michaela Rylaarsdam, has been facing a second-degree murder charge following her arrest in February.

The incident involves Michaela and a Southern California man, Michael Dale, 56, who died due to suffocation during a saran wrap fetish session. The incident dates back to April 2023, when Dale paid Michaela over $11,000 to perform BDSM acts.

However, the event took a tragic turn, resulting in Dale's death and Michaela's arrest. She is currently at the Las Colinas Detention Facility. She is known by the pseudonym Asshley SinCal on OnlyFans, a subscription-based platform that features a range of content, including adult entertainment.

Details on the charges against Michaela Rylaarsdam

In April 2023, Dale called her to his Escondido home. When she arrived at 6 p.m., she found Dale intoxicated.

However, she continued to engage with him in the BDSM acts he requested. According to the affidavit that was filed, Dale had some unusual requests. These included wanting Michaela to wrap him in saran wrap like a mummy and to glue a pair of gorilla boots onto his feet.

Later, Michaela dialed 911 at 10:10 p.m., and when the authorities arrived, they found her performing CPR on Dale while he lay there unconscious. Dale was declared brain-dead the next day and was put on life support.

When investigators searched her phone, they found many videos, some of which she recorded just a few minutes before calling the police. Describing the videos, detectives said:

''He had duct tape over his mouth, a plastic bag over his head, more saran wrap around that, and then duct tape wrapped around his face and head, securing all the layers to his head. He also appeared to have had saran wrap wrapped around his neck tightly.”

Deputy District Attorney David Jarman, who is prosecuting the case, said:

''The evidence showed that he hired her to perform bondage acts and fetish acts. There is no indication that he asked her to obstruct his breathing, asked her to put tape over his mouth, asked her to put a plastic bag over his head.''

Later, the San Diego County medical examiner’s office concluded that the cause of Dale's death was asphyxia and that the nature of death was homicide. It was also determined that his head had been sealed in a plastic bag for at least eight minutes.

Authorities are still investigating whether this was a case of manslaughter, negligence, or accident. Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that Michaela's husband took an additional $1,000 from Dale and encouraged her to obtain more money by engaging in fetish behavior.

Her Instagram account links to a company called SinCal Entertainment, whose bio reads as "Adult Party Entertainment Agency."

She was arrested on February 19 and will return to court in April for the preliminary hearing. Michaela founded the company with her husband, Brandon Rylaarsdam, and they have three children together.
