Why did Florida attorney general launch an investigation into the arrival of Andrew Tate and his brother?
James Uthmeier was appointed attorney general of Florida by Ron DeSantis, who is the Governor of the state. As an upholder of the law, Uthmeier has conducted an active criminal investigation on Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate. In a statement, Uthmeier said:
"These guys have themselves publicly admitted to participating in what very much appears to be soliciting, tra**icking, pr*ying upon women around the world... Many of these victims are coming forward, some of them minors. People can spin or defend however they want, but in Florida, this type of behavior is viewed as atrocious. We’re not going to accept it."
He continued by saying:
"Florida has zero tolerance for human tra**icking and vi*lence against women. If any of these alleged crimes trigger Florida jurisdiction, we will hold them accountable." - James Uthmeier added.
Uthmeier launched the investigation after the Tate brothers landed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, last week. Since they were on a travel ban, they flew from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, using one of their private planes.
Uthemier concluded by saying that he will do all that is in his power to
"pursue every tool we have within our legal authority to hold them accountable".
The attorney general and governor of Florida have made it clear that they are not in favor of the Tate brothers arriving in the state.
Tate said last week that crimes against him and his brother are yet to be proven:
"There’s a lot of opinions about us that go around on the internet. We’ve yet to be convicted of any crime in our lives ever. We’ve no criminal record anywhere on the planet ever."
