An unconfirmed video that's gone viral — which some people say shows Klein making explicit comments while acting — has made things worse. As millions watch and share the video, people can't stop talking about Klein's actions and health.

Despite the chatter, there is no concrete information on charges or an arrest. Authorities have not verified the video’s truthfulness or released any statement about taking legal action. Ethan Klein faces a disturbing hoax and an online feud with iDubbbz

Adding to the controversy, Klein recently shared an alarming personal account during a podcast episode. In March 2025, he and his family became the target of a serious hoax. An anonymous tip brought Child Protective Services to their home, and shortly after, they received in the mail two human skulls.

Klein said the whole situation started in early March when Child Protective Services (CPS) came to his home because someone had sent in a false tip. The tip claimed that his child was “crawling around and eating dog poop.” The CPS officer told Klein that the tip might have come from someone who knows the family. Klein explained that it’s easy for people to pretend to be someone else online, which makes it hard to find out who really made the false report.

The incident, which came to the attention of the FBI, was described by him as serious but respectful. The experience, according to him, was far from an ordinary trolling incident and highlighted the dark turn that online harassment can take.

“We had a very pleasant interview with the FBI,” Klein stated.

Further escalating tensions, Klein responded to criticism from fellow YouTuber iDubbbz, who recently released a Content Cop video scrutinizing Klein’s content and behavior. In his rebuttal, Klein dismissed the criticism as “misguided” and accused iDubbbz of bending his principles for clout.
