Alex Jones is slamming the rumors that Gene Hackman was named on Jeffrey Epstein's infamous contact list.
Gene Hackman died this Wednesday at the age of 95, alongside his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 63. One of their three dogs was also found dead in the bathroom. The cause of death remains unclear, and their bodies were found in their Santa Fe home.
In the wake of the tragedy, rumors have begun swirling that he was named in the first wave of files that came out in connection with Jeffrey Epstein this Thursday evening. However, far-right commentator Alex Jones has since refuted the sayings, noting that he knew the couple "for decades." He also rubbished all claims as "baseless."

The rumors first began swirling when the material released on Thursday contained pilot logs of Epstein's use of his private jets, stemming from the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell, his longtime confidant. Epstein's so-called "black book" was also published, though it was previously made public.
An address book was also made public, though the Justice Department has asserted that it is not a client list, but merely a contact list. Several prolific names were included in this list, including Michael Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger, Prince Andrew, the late Ethel Kennedy — Robert F. Kennedy’s mother — and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
However, Gene Hackman's name was nowhere on the list, according to The Post. Moreover, none of these celebrities were tied in with any of Epstein's s*x crimes. Alex Jones doubled down on his claims in a video, uploaded on his X account.
"So last night, Pam Bondi went on Fox news and said, 'we're releasing a bunch of the Epstein information tomorrow.' And then I get up this morning and find out that Gene Hackman, his wife, and their dog have all been found dead outside their house in Santa Fe, New Mexico," he said in the video. "I've known him and his wife for decades, and they were very, very reclusive."
In response to the speculations that the Epstein list was coming out this morning, and "that's why they're all dead," Jones said:
"Folks, that is something I've seen quite a bit in society, of people connecting dots that aren't there. Somebody 95 years old, they might have died of carbon monoxide, left the car on, probably suicide. The police have said no evidence of foul play, we don't know yet. But to connect Gene Hackman to that just because that information is coming out today is ridiculous."
He went on to add that he's liked Gene Hackman as an actor for decades, noting that everyone who knew him has only ever said good things about him. "He just plays golf, and sticks with his wife and dog," he said in the video. He referred to Hackman as a "stand-up American," adding that the theory doesn't add up mainly because he had already been dead for a while by the time his body was found.
At the time of writing, Gene Hackman and his wife's exact cause of death remains unclear, though officials are looking into it. They are reportedly treating it as suspicious. As for Alex Jones, he also uploaded another video on X of his thoughts on the actor's demise, noting that Hackman was always one of his favorite actors.
