DJ Akademiks, a fervent supporter of Donald Trump, has once again sang the praises of the Republican Party president-elect. In a snippet from his podcast Off the Record with DJ Akademiks, the online personality stated that Trump’s election as President has served the rappers in Atlanta. He justified his take with the statement:

“I wonder if these rappers realize that Trump saved all the Atlanta rappers. You know why? Because Trump clipped Fanny Willis's wings. Made her look like a fool,"

He added:

"Basically put her in hot water, and she was never gonna get into hot water by indicting rappers, but going after the president, that’s what f**** her up. So Trump basically saved y’all N**** I personally believe without Trump that 4PF would have been indicted.”

Fanny Willis is the Fulton District Attorney who became popular for prosecuting racketeering cases against high-profile defendants like rapper Young Thug. Her case against Donald Trump and 14 other co-defendants was mired by controversy when it was alleged that Willis had a romantic relationship with one of the prosecutors she had appointed for the case.

This led to a ruling by the Georgia Court of Appeals in December 2024 that Willis and the office be removed from the case. Trump found the ruling appropriate, while Willis made a statement during her inaugural gala for a second term:

"In my first four years in office, I learned a really hard lesson. Folks are here for you during the good times, but the slightest bit of wind and folks quickly begin to fall to the wayside. See we are living in a time, not of a mild wind, but I submit to you, a tsunami."

DJ Akademiks has vocally supported Donald Trump over the years

The Internet personality and podcast host has never been shy to support Trump. He stirred the pot when he made a statement about Trump’s conviction on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records on May 30, 2024:

"Donald Trump getting found guilty on 34 felony counts for paying off his side h**... makes me wanna vote for dat n***a even more. Not even gonna lie,"

Before that, DJ Akademiks, in an interview with VladTV in September 2022, expressed that he was “definitely” voting for Trump in the 2024 elections.

After the assassination attempt on Trump in 2024, DJ Akademiks was quick to speak against those who described the incident as staged. He called out Amanda Seales, who was skeptical of the incident, using expletives:

“B*tch, wake up. There’s a f*cking whole investigation by the FBI outside in Butler. Drive over there and go see if they’re investigating staged sh*t.”
