⁠Tory Lanez and Iggy Azalea’s history explored as imprisoned rapper says he misses having the singer “wrapped around my body”

Tory Lanez publicly serenaded Iggy Azalea with his new album, Peterson, from behind bars.

The rapper, who has been incarcerated for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2022, is calling on the Australian rapper to give him another chance in his new track, 9$IDE x Amethyst. One of the verses goes as follows:

"Amethyst, if you ever hear this s**t, shorty, call me / You know that I'm always making spicy b***hes salty / Need to come correct 'cause all that s**t I did was faulty / I miss when you wrapped around my body like a tall tee / New me come correct because the old me was the wrong me."

Tory Lanez and Azalea first sparked dating rumors in October 2022, as they were frequently spotted hanging out together. However, the two never officially confirmed their relationship and their breakup, until now with Lanez's latest album. Read more to learn more about their dating history.

Tory Lanez and Iggy Azalea's relationship explored:

Rumors that a relationship between Tory Lanez and Iggy Azalea may be blossoming began swirling first in October 2022, when the two were spotted at a nightclub together. Just a day before that, the rapper took to Instagram to thank the songstress for her gift, which she seemingly gave in celebration of his new album, Sorry 4 What, which came out on Oct. 30

The clip he uploaded showed a Merlot bottle shaped cake, grapes and a corkscrew.

"Thank you baby girl @thenewclassic," Tory wrote over the clip, which is Iggy's IG handle. "@thenewclassic it’s a celebration bitches !!!! #Sorry4What ALBUM OUT NOW," he captioned the post.

That same month, Tory Lanez was spotted sporting some Iggy Azalea merch at one of his shows. By September, The Shade Room had uploaded an image of some ox tails Iggy cooked, prompting a comment from Tory, who affirmed that she was a good cook.

“It was hitting too,” he commented at the time.

By then, fans had begun poking fun at the two for their alleged romance, prompting Iggy to take to X to slam these trolls:

"The wildest thing about the internet is y'all don't give a f**k about anyones opinion... but think I'm supposed to let yours dictate my life?!?!" she penned. "I don't give a f**k about yours either! TWINS."

Cut to August 2023, and their romance seemingly fizzled out. However, during Tory Lanez's ongoing court proceedings, Azalea issued a statement in his defense, asking that his sentence be “transformative, not life-destroying.”

However, she also took to X at the time to reveal that she hadn't been in touch with her alleged former beau for a month, as reported by Billboard:

"I have not been in touch with tory for months, I have no reason to be, but I do wish him well,” adding, “I don’t ‘support’ anyone. the whole thing is full of oddities. My letter never mentioned anything in regard to what happened that night,” she said, referring to Lanez's shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

She also clarified that her statement was only supposed to be for the judge's eyes:

"Yet it’s being discussed in public? I never intended to publicly comment,” she wrote. “Iam not in support of throwing away ANY ones life if we can give reasonable punishments that are rehabilitative instead. I support prison reform. Period.”

In her letter, she reflected on Tory Lanez's behavior around women, as she penned:

“I deeply appreciate the person he is and have never witnessed him [lose] his temper or raise his voice at a woman.” She added, “Since Daystar remains in jail, many of his employees are left without work. I took it upon myself to hire six of his staff members, full time. I did this not only because they are great hardworking people, but so that they remain in a position to transition back into running his business when he’s completed his sentence. I’m doing all I can to make sure he’s in a position to come home and get back to work.”

At the time of writing, Iggy Azalea has yet to respond to Tory Lanez's latest track.
