The highly publicized battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake recently intensified during the New Orleans Super Bowl LIX halftime show. This feud also involved many other artists and public figures.

During a recent press tour for his new film, A Complete Unkown, journalist Judita DaSilva interviewed Chalamet. In this interview, the actor shared his opinion on who he thought the public sided with in the rap beef. The clip of the same was posted by Judita on her Instagram handle:

What was Timothée Chalamet's opinion on Kendrick Lamar and Drake's beef?

In the clip, Chalamet said:

''I think we saw, beyond the quality of songs in the battle environment, pop culture at large got behind the Nobel figure and Pulitzer figure.'' he made this statement referring to Lamar.

Just days before the Super Bowl, Kendrick Lamar and Timothée Chalamet did a two-part fun and casual interview which was then released by the NFL. In this interview, Lamar and Chalamet drove around in a Buick GNX (a nod to Lamar’s album) and had conversations about their crafts; acting and rapping.

While discussing acting, Chalamet spoke about the process he goes through for playing an on-screen role. He said:

“The thing about acting is, if you don’t have an audience, it’s just a form of insanity. And you’re just, what are you doing?”

He continued:

''So I definitely try to warm up and then, you know, lose that self-consciousness when you finally get back out there. But that takes time.''

On embracing failure and moving ahead, Chalamet said:

''I always try to embrace failure—you were talking about that the other day—the most important part of a bad day is the way you leave it. If you can leave a bad take or a bad day with a positive attitude, then you’ve got nothing to fear.''

Lamar also spoke about his experience of pushing himself as a lyricist:

“I’m always locked in and always trying new things. Even if they don’t end up going anywhere.''

He continued:

“I have to keep the pen moving. It’s my form of sanity. And it also has given me the opportunity to learn myself, you know, find out who I am.”

Aside from the conversion around their careers, Chalamet also rapped Lamar’s song “The Heart Pt. II” in front of him.

What comes next after this feud?

Despite the ongoing conflict, Drake will be performing at the Wireless Festival for three nights in London, this July. It will be his first big concert in the United Kingdom after six years.

This hints at the fact that both the artists will still be staying in the spotlight despite the beef.
