NFL icon Odell Beckham Jr. is at the center of controversy after being named in an amended lawsuit alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs and comedian Druski a.k.a. Drew Desbordes.
The lawsuit, which is filed in the Northern District of California, stems from allegations made by Ashley Parham. She claims that she was drugged, kidnapped, and s*xually assaulted in March 2018, Essentially Sports reports. The case has garnered widespread attention and has led Odell Beckham Jr. to respond publicly. He denied any wrongdoing, stating in an X post,
"Boy I’ll tell u what. This world makes absolutely no sense. I am covered by God. He will prevail. I kno who am I , I kno who u are, keep ur head. That name will be cleared. Shxts stupid"
This was in reply to Druski's post, which he made denying the allegations as he called them a 'fabricated lie.' The post read in part,
"This allegation is a fabricated lie. I was not a public figure in 2018, I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation, so the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish."
The lawsuit and allegations centering Diddy, Druski, and Odell Beckham Jr.
The lawsuit was originally filed in October 2024. It was then amended in March 2025 to include additional defendants. Ashley Parham, the plaintiff, alleges that she was s*xually assaulted after making comments about Diddy’s possible involvement in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
According to Ashley, she was at a gathering in Orinda, California, where she was forcibly r*ped using a TV remote control. The lawsuit claims that multiple individuals, including Odell Beckham Jr., were involved in the assault.
Parham has reported the incident to authorities and undergone a r*pe kit examination. She is seeking $50 million in damages and has requested a jury trial.
Alongside Beckham Jr., other defendants include:
- Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is also facing federal charges of racketeering and s*x trafficking, among others.
- Druski, who has publicly denied the allegations. He has stated that he had no connections to the entertainment industry at the time.
- Jaguar Wright, who is named in connection with alleged s*x trafficking activities linked to Diddy.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the federal charges, and his trial is set for May 5, 2025.
For Odell Beckham Jr., these allegations come at a relatively turbulent time in his NFL career. The three-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion last played for the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 season, where he had a limited role. He recorded only nine receptions for 55 yards in nine games, The Express Tribune claims.
His football career began with the New York Giants. His career has been plagued by injuries. Despite that, Beckham’s one-handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014 arguably remains one of the most noteworthy moments in NFL history.
