Content creator Fanum, aka Roberto Escanio Pena, had an experience at Qatar Mall he would perhaps want to forget. In a viral video posted by X account “@SlatDontMiss,” Roberto was strolling in the mall while a person accompanying him recorded the video. He was startled to find a little boy following him, but Fanum eventually posed for a photo with him.
After clicking the photo, the boy said, “ni**a,” seemingly pointing at his sibling or friend, though it is unclear.
Social media appeared divided about the interaction. One X user commented:
“The disrespect is crazy.”
While some netizens were intrigued, most others pointed out that people need to refrain from using the word.
“lil bro thought he was slick by saying it was his friends name,” a person wrote.
“Which is why everyone should stop saying the word,” an online user reacted, to a user who felt: "Kids these days for no chill."
Some X users felt that, going by the video, the word was seemingly not meant for Roberto but for the other kid.
“That's just wild, poor Fanum! Kids can be so unpredictable,” a social media user opined.
“This engagement farming. He called his friend that not fanum. Man I miss prime ryan,” another X user wrote.

This wasn’t the first time the streamer had an interaction with a young fan. In July 2024, two kids approached him for a photo in New York and expressed their love for him. The kids said they never missed out on watching his streams.

As Roberto and the person accompanying him chatted at Qatar Mall, the content creator looked up at the sky and said something was moving but he liked it. Then, he turned back and saw that the little boy who was following him. Fannum asked:
“Why little bro just following us? Look behind me. Look behind me.”
The video shows that Roberto then posed for a pic with the two kids. After that, they shook hands with him. It was then that the second kid, pointing to the first one, said:
“He’s ni**a.”
A bewildered Fanum then asked the boy to repeat what he said, to which the kid repeated the word. Roberto asked if it was his name, and the kid nodded. The person accompanying the kids pulled him away.
In January 2025, the content creator collaborated with GQ to answer fan questions. Someone asked online what his top five streams were. He replied that the first was 9-5 streams, the second was the collaboration with Biggie in New York City and the third was the one with Curry Goat.
His fourth favorite stream was the Mukbangs stream, and his fifth favorite was the VHS camera stream. When a fan asked whether they would see Fanum in movies, he said a short film was underway, adding that he couldn’t say much about movie roles.
