Tectone banned from Twitch, says he’s “trying to figure out what happened” and could be out for 2 weeks

Streamer Tectone banned from Twitch as he tries "to figure out what happened.”

Tectone, whose real name is John Robert Robertson, got banned from Twitch suddenly on April 26, 2025, as the streamer claims he has no idea the reasoning behind his ban. Though Twitch is liable to give a reason behind the suspension, it is hard to provide a clear, detailed answer.

But Tectone has an idea behind why he could have received the ban. The streamer believes his ban could be due to him insulting Twitch streamer Frogan. Frogan has been in quite a lot of controversies on Twitch in the past, including getting a ban for her controversial comments. In the stream, he stated,

“Yes, I got banned for 2 weeks for simply calling frogan a fat piece of sh*t. I’m not sorry to be honest and I stand by what I said. However going forward, I’ll do my best to not bring her up again. As me bringing her up only brings her into relevancy and I’d rather let her punishment be her own failure at being a streamer. 2 time rising star award winning streamer btw def not an industry plant”

He further stated,

"*2 time rising star award winning streamer btw def not an industry plant* Anyways, I'm gonna stream on youtube. Cyall there. But i do think it's crazy how I get banned for 2 weeks for calling someone fat and the things you see on a daily hassan or denims stream is 10000x worse and they don't even get a warning. Anyways, ya live on youtube."

Internet abuzz over Tectone's ban

The internet is busy speculating on the reasoning behind why or how the streamer managed to get banned.

"did he even do anything???" one user stated.

Another claimed, "He spoke out of line and trash Frogan. Twitch commies are mad."

While one user showed support towards the streamer, ":( i hope everything gets sorted out soon, and that Tectone can get back to doing what they love. we're all rooting for you!"

"It's probably because he called Frogan out on her fake apology, as he rightfully should have done," one fan also speculated.

Another user brought a different angle into light, "To everyone wondering: on his last stream, he was yapping about only 2 genders, specifcally saying humans are gender what they are born with between their legs and joking about the doctor refusing to say the gender, because the baby has to decide for itself."

Through all this, the streamer seems unapologetic and says he will continue streaming on YouTube instead until this is resolved.
