Aftermath of the shooting incident involving Sauce Walka and Sayso P and more details explored

Sayso P was recently signed to Sauce Walka’s record label, Sauce Familia. The up-and-coming rapper released tracks Hefner in 2024 and Backdoor in 2023. His last single released was Free One Punch in January 2025.

According to Fox13 Memphis, friends of the deceased Sayso P claimed that the rapper had only been in Memphis for a few days to make appearances at local clubs as he didn’t live in the town.

The News channel also reported that the rapper’s mother addressed rumors that her son owed money and refused to pay back:

"This the type of lies and (expletive) that KEEP mothers losing our sons. My son never stole anything. Never ran off with anything. Didn't have to. Haters set him up, but not because he stole a dime. He would give you his last before he would steal anything,"

She implored Netizens to stop spreading fake news regarding her 27-year-old son;

"Please stop spreading rumors. Let me repeat that: He didn't have to take (expletive) from anyone. Money wasn't a factor for (Sayso P)... He was too loyal. Too loyal to the wrong people was his biggest downfall. Haters who were envious killed my baby but I won't let ya'll steal his legacy. People see him with a stack and say anything. This was his NORM!"
