Attorney General Pam Bondi released the first phase of files in connection with disgraced late Jeffrey Epstein, though they didn't include any new bombshell revelations about his s*x trafficking case.

The files are up on the Justice Department website, and, according to AP, have been in circulation in the public domain for years. The documents mainly contained flight logs of Jeffrey Epstein's private plane, though these have long been public knowledge owing to his several court cases.

It also includes a heavily redacted duplicate of an address book that features the numbers of a wide range of celebrities and politicians. However, the Justice Department has made it known that this was a contact list and,

"not a client list."

According to the Associated Press, the Justice Department also released a redacted list of masseuses, as well as an evidence list that has entries of over 150 items, several of which are of inappropriate nature. However, there wasn't any indication to suggest which case it was from: Epstein, his longtime confidante Ghislaine Maxwell, or some other investigation.

Jeffrey Epstein was accused of helming a massive s*x trafficking ring, though he died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial. According to The Independent, the legal documents that are now public knowledge stem from a defamation lawsuit brought forth against the late financier in 2015.

According to a Times Now report, several prolific figures' names have been included in Jeffrey Epstein's address book. The report stated:

Big names such as Michael Jackson, Ethel Kennedy, mother of Robert F Kennedy Jr, supermodel Naomi Campbell and actor Alec Baldwin were part of the list shared by the DOJ.

The release of the files comes on the heels of Pam Bondi's pledge to release these files to the public, as well as the Justice Department's efforts to increase transparency. However, certain information has been redacted to protect over 250 victims.

Bondi had hinted she would be releasing the files during her guest appearance on Fox News on Wednesday, where she said:

“Breaking news right now: You’re going to see some Epstein information released.”

The Justice Department uploaded the documents on its website alongside the following note, as reported by the Associated Press:

“The first phase of declassified files largely contains documents that have been previously leaked but never released in a formal capacity by the U.S. Government."

The second wave of documents came out on Thursday evening, though they failed to offer new information on the case. These documents also included several of the names previously made known to the public. A new set of documents is slated to come out on Friday.
