Rapper and singer Offset, aka Kiari Kendrell Cephus, appears to have landed in trouble following his interaction with a security guard. As per reports, he went to MedMen LAX, a cannabis dispensary, on March 13, 2025, at around 9:30 PM.

There, an argument arose with the security personnel over identification documents. The Californian law mandates the production of valid identification documents to not only purchase but also touch products with cannabis.

However, Offset’s team reportedly denied the accusations, calling them ridiculous. They explained that he had just arrived and the rapper had his ID. Cephus stated that while presenting his identification, the security guard became hostile and allegedly spat in his face. The encounter then turned physical.

As the situation escalated, additional security personnel got involved, and Cephus allegedly punched the guard. In response, the guard allegedly used mace on Offset and his group. Authorities were called, and the rapper left the place with his team.

Paramedics later arrived, and the guard was taken to a hospital. Reports suggest that the guard has filed charges against the rapper. The news was not shared by the rapper but was quoted by multiple sources to TMZ.

The news of the alleged brawl came more than a week after the rapper announced an arena concert in Moscow, although his label boycotted the event. He shared the news on Instagram, writing that he would perform at MTS Live Hall on April 18, 2025.

Offset was also involved in physical altercations in 2024 and 2023

This wasn’t the first time the news of the rapper allegedly engaging in a fight came about. In 2024, Offset was reportedly caught up in a fight outside his hotel in Paris. According to TMZ, the rapper and his crew got into a physical altercation with members of French rapper Gazo’s team outside Hôtel du Collectionneur.

Video footage showed a security guard pinning Cephus against a Sprinter van as he yelled in protest. At one point, the rapper broke free to retaliate with a kick. The scuffle ended up in the hotel lobby.

As per reports, women screamed in the background before security locked the doors to separate the groups. One woman was knocked to the ground during the chaos. Although police reached the scene, no arrests were reportedly made.

At the 65th Grammy Awards in 2023, Offset and his Migos bandmate Quavo reportedly got into a heated argument backstage. Cardi B reportedly intervened and told them they were wrong and that the argument wasn’t necessary.

In a video shared by media outlets, she was also heard telling someone to be quiet, suggesting they shouldn’t have spoken in the first place. Cephus responded to the situation in an X post on February 6, 2023, writing:

“What tf look like fighting my brother yal ni**as is crazy.”

The tension reportedly stemmed from Quavo refusing to let Cephus participate in the tribute performance honoring their late bandmate Takeoff, who was fatally shot in Houston at age 28. According to TMZ, Quavo even blocked Offset from joining him on stage before performing the tribute.
