While the world watched Blue Origin’s historic all-female flight launch into space on Monday, one very familiar face was noticeably absent from the VIP spectators: Kim Kardashian.
Despite being invited to witness the launch in West Texas alongside her momager Kris Jenner and sister Khloé Kardashian, Kim, unfortunately, had to sit out the star-studded liftoff — and the reason was nothing short of relatable.
Kris revealed:
“Kim keeps writing us, because she was supposed to be here with us and she’s studying for law school, and she had a big test that she had to take.”
Kim reportedly had serious FOMO, texting her family for updates throughout the cosmic event.
On the ground, Kris and Khloé showed up to support their close friend Lauren Sánchez, who was aboard the rocket with Katy Perry, Gayle King, scientist Aisha Bowe, producer Kerianne Flynn, and activist Amanda Nguyen. The 10-minute suborbital flight marked Blue Origin’s first-ever all-women crewed journey in over six decades.
Apart from The Kardashians stars, several other celebrities also attended the launch. Oprah Winfrey joined the onlookers' lineup to support her best friend Gayle King, while Orlando Bloom turned up for his wife, Perry.

Fans comment on Kim Kardashian skipping Blue Origin’s launch
Kim may have skipped Blue Origin’s launch, but her dedication to her studies was lauded. In March, she completed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE).
The socialite-entrepreneur's education has been an inspiration to her fans, with X (Twitter) user @MyleezaKardash praising her:
“If it’s not a new Skims release, it’s a magazine cover. If it’s not a magazine cover, it’s something dealing with law school. If it’s not law school, it’s a new partnership. She IS THE MOMENT.”
Netizen @ilerios97 also showed love for the reality TV star’s legal ambitions when she opened up about her journey to become a lawyer.
“Aww I wish I could go to law school with her. She’s going to do great things.”
Another fan commended Kim’s dedication, saying:
