Karlie Kloss and her husband, Joshua Kushner, are expecting their third child together.
The supermodel announced the news this Monday on Instagram, sharing photos of her growing belly and her two other children, sons Elijah Jude, 1, and Levi Joseph, 4.
The pair first met in June 2012, when Kloss was just 19 years old. By November, Us Weekly announced that they had officially begun dating. Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner's relationship over the years: From dating at 19 to a soon-to-be family of three
Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner first met in June 2012, though the exact details remain unclear. As reported by Elle Magazine, the public knows about this only because the supermodel once took to X to reveal that "four years ago today, I met my best friend" in 2016.
By November of that year, however, Us Weekly reported that they were dating after being seen arm in arm at the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after-party. They eventually made their relationship official in January 2014 when the model revealed that her then-boyfriend was "usually behind the camera" and that he shares several photos of her on his Instagram.
Speaking with Metro US in February of that year, she reflected on how she fell in love with Kushner:
“I was definitely not planning on falling in love, but I think that’s the thing about it. You can’t anticipate or plan it,” she said.
In July 2018, the pair announced that they were engaged when the supermodel took to Instagram to gush over her soon-to-be-husband:
“I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over 💍 ,” she penned at the time.
Reflecting on her life as a newlywed with Vogue in October 2018, shortly after they tied the knot, Karlie Kloss said,
“Josh and I share a lot of the same liberal values that guide our lives and the things we stand for. We’ve really grown together personally and professionally. Josh knows that I’m just a nerdy, curious human being. I think that’s why he loves me. We have each other’s back.”
Rumors began swirling that Karlie Kloss was expecting her first child by October 2020. They welcomed their first son, Levi Joseph, in March 2021. In May 2023, she revealed she was expecting again when she debuted with a baby bump on the Met Gala red carpet.
“Karlie has only told a few close friends about this pregnancy, she and Joshua are so excited to be expanding their family,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “Karlie is relieved that everyone will know now.”
By July 2023, the pair welcomed their second child. "Welcome to 🌎❤️ 7.11.23," Kushner penned on Instagram at the time, coupling the caption with a photo of the newborn in a blue beanie, signaling the birth of a son. Kloss later revealed his name to be Elijah Jude.
